Due to unforeseen circumstances the Habitat construction staff will be shorthanded. Because of this, the schedule is as follows:
All Sleeping Giant Build volunteers should go to 390 Gilbert Ave.
All volunteers from SCSU have been canceled.
All Habitat homeowners, all other volunteers and anyone doing application hours should go to 34/38 Vernon St.
All regular volunteers are encouraged to come help crew lead.
Anyone who has been canceled is should call and reschedule.

Please also use sunscreen, even if you think you don't need it. A hat will protect you from the sun. Be safe & work safely!!! If you begin to feel nauseous, dizzy or generally unwell, STOP WORKING IMMEDIATELY AND NOTIFY THE CONSTRUCTION STAFF!!!!--Ellen

UPDATE ON PARKING PASSES AS OF 4/12/11
Parking passes are now required on Elliot Street. If you do not have parking pass displayed, you will be ticketed!
Habitat has a limited supply of passes. Please get one from the construction staff at the start of the day and RETURN IT AT THE END OF THE DAY. DO NOT TAKE THE PASSES HOME EVEN IF YOU PLAN TO RETURN THE NEXT DAY. The City of New Haven is giving us a set amount because they do not want them floating around.
If you are ticketed, it will be your responsibility to pay the fine, so please remember to get (and return) a parking pass every time you volunteer.

All other volunteers should go to 3oo Newhall St. Please be aware that travel down many New Haven streets is still very difficult and there is still a parking ban in effect. Parking spaces are very limited. Despite this we are going to do our best to get a work day in.

All volunteers should go to 12 Elliot St. Be aware that parking may be difficult so please carpool as much as possible. We are at the framing stage of all of our projects now so please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Also, please be diligent in checking the blog because we are expecting more bad weather this week.
